Signatures

What are signatures

Digital signatures allow you to sign records in the application using qualified digital certificates, digitally signed containers (i.e. DigiDoc), or handwritten signatures.

Once a record is digitally signed, it cannot be modified. This mechanism serves as proof of the authenticity of the user and the contents of the record.

Compatibility with regulations

The eIDAS regulation (EU Regulation 910/2014) recognizes digital signatures as legally equivalent to traditional handwritten signatures, ensuring their validity and enforceability in legal proceedings.

Signatures using the qualified digital certificates or digitally signed containers are fully compatible and compliant with EU regulation.

Enabling signatures

Open the app where you want to enable signatures and navigate to Settings -> App settings. Under the tab Configuration, select the record you want to enable signatures for, and look for the “Features” section and check the “Signatures” checkbox.
