Annotations
The BAUSW application allows users to annotate photos and documentation using an intuitive annotation tool, enabling seamless collaboration and communication.

Annotating a Photograph
When uploading attachments to entries, attached photographs can be annotated directly within the entry form.
To annotate a photo:
- Navigate to the Attachments tab of the entry form.
- Select the photographs you want to upload.
- Click the Edit Image button (pencil icon) located on the right side of the row.
- In the editor, add annotations by drawing, inserting text, or adding shapes.
- Click Save to confirm the changes.
Example Use Case
For example, you can annotate a construction site photograph to highlight problem areas or add notes for further action.
Annotating a PDF File
The BAUSW annotation editor allows users to insert and annotate PDF documents, such as standard forms, technical drawings, or floorplans.
To annotate a PDF document:

Navigate to the Attachments tab of the entry form.

Click the Attach Drawing button.

Click the Insert button to upload an image or a PDF document.

Select the desired PDF document to upload.

In the preview, choose the specific page you want to insert.

Click Insert to place the selected page into the editor.

Add your desired annotations and confirm by clicking Save.
Example Use Case
You can use the tool to annotate a floorplan, marking areas for renovation or adding labels to specific sections.
Notes
- Annotated PDF documents and drawings are saved as images, not PDF files.
- To attach a multi-page PDF document, upload each page as a separate file.
